SUMMARY:Chickenman Memorial Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:It's time again for the Chickenman Memorial Golf Tournament here at The Plantation Course at Edisto to honor the memory of Leland P. Vaughan\, our GM who passed away in 2016. The tournament was created to raise money for a scholarship fund in Leland's name at Presbyterian College where he played baseball. In 2022\, we decided to do things a little different and include a local charity in a portion of the money along with the scholarship. Our goal is to continue to donate half of the money raised each year to a different local charity chosen in a drawing. The tournament will be held on April 26\, 2025.\n\nOur 2024 tournament was a great success and we are looking forward to this year's event. Chickenman Memorial presented a check for $10\,000 to Presbyterian College for the scholarship known as the "Leland P. Vaughan\, '62 Memorial Baseball Scholarship" as well as a $10\,000 check to the Animal Lovers of Edisto.\n\nLeland touched many lives during his time with us whether in college\, his business career\, as an involved citizen of Edisto Beach or during his time at The Plantation Course. Because he was a friend to so many\, we invite you to share support as a sponsor for our upcoming event. It is our hope that this tournament will help his scholarship grow and benefit more and more student athletes each year along with supporting local Edisto charities.\n\n We hope you can support this great cause with a sponsorship and/or gift donation for raffles and prizes.
